Our Demonstration Clinic is an opportunity for our student osteopaths to observe appointments and treatments delivered by qualifed osteopaths.
Please note that as a result of temporary changes introduced in line with current guidance, we are inviting all patients to book appointments with our experienced team in General Clinic. Read more about the changes we've been making in clinic.
The Demonstration Clinic runs to support both patients and students. For patients, it provides an opportunity to book in with and be evaluated by an experienced, qualified osteopath at the UCO Clinic. For students, it provides the opportunity to observe and understand the approach of a fully qualified osteopath as part of their clinical development. There is time built into the schedule so that students are able to discuss key areas of each consultation; this can be incredibly helpful for students in their own development as clinicians and how clinical decisions have been navigated.
Patients booking into the Demonstration Clinic will initially be seen by clinic tutors and depending on the circumstances, for their first follow up appointment. After this time, patients will typically be booked in with one of the student osteopaths who has been observing their consultations. Alternatively, patients may book follow up appointments with qualified osteopaths in the UCO Associate clinic.
The Demonstration Clinic runs on Wednesday afternoons at the UCO Clinic by Clinic Team Leader & Tutor Glynn Booker.
