Ed Webb M.Ost, DIP Sports massage, Western acupuncture
Ed is an associate osteopath at the UCO. He completed his master's degree from the UCO with a sound knowledge of how the human body functions.
Having worked in the housing sector for 7 years, he decided to pursue his passion for science, the human body and alternative medicine. Alongside becoming an osteopath, Ed is also a qualified personal trainer and sports massage therapist, which have greatly added a diverse and broadened approach to his treatment.
Ed has an interest in sporting injuries and rehabilitation. Having previously competed for his local county in athletics, he has always had a keen interest in sports and worked with athletes during his two years working at the UCO clinic. In addition to this, he also has a vast wealth of experience working with other specialists, helping to treat patients living with HIV/AIDS, infants, homeless people and the elderly.
Whether the patient has a short or long-term issue, Ed is eager to help the patient using a friendly and empathetic manner and believes firmly in understanding the patient from their perspective. Ed is particularly keen on assessing the movement and posture of the human body in a holistic way and enjoys working with the patient to try and improve any factors through a structural based approach; adopting a wide variety of osteopathic techniques such as soft tissue release to more advanced techniques such as manipulation and counterstrain.
Ed is fully insured, first aid trained and registered with the General Osteopathic Council. His clinic hours are Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
