Lynne Philips, Clinic Tutor

Lynne graduated from the British School of Osteopathy (now University College of Osteopathy) in 2001 and returned as a clinic tutor in 2007. She runs her private practice in East Sheen.

She retrained as a mature student when her son was a baby following a range of occupations, including postgraduate study on Russian Literature and a period in the 'fast stream' of the civil service which involved briefing the Prime Minister for Prime Minister's Questions. She then spent 12 years as a picture restorer alongside further language studies, a diploma in History of Art and yoga practice and teaching. Interests include literature, sports and regular visits to art exhibitions and the ballet.

Aspects of all these experiences have fed into her development as a practitioner with a keen interest in the founding concepts and principles of the profession. She gains great pleasure as a tutor in discussing ideas about osteopathy with students and observing their development from nervous novices to confident and skilful independent professionals.
