Peter Simpson, Team Leader, Clinic Tutor, OsteoMAP Tutor and Lecturer
Peter qualified from the BSO in 1989 and became a clinic tutor in 2009, a member of the OsteoMAP pain management team in 2014, and a clinic team leader in 2018.
Because of his background in Biochemistry, Peter teaches on the Access course, as well as on the full- and part-time M.Ost courses.
During his time at the BSO, Peter has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic and Clinical Education and a Master of Science in Osteopathy. Two of his study assignments have since been published in the peer reviewed International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.
Peter’s interest in managing patients experiencing persistent pain led him to take part in the OsteoMAP research programme which has been running successfully for 4 years.
Peter was delighted to be awarded “Best clinic tutor” by the graduating students at the BSO Centenary Ball in 2017 and was runner up for the Institute of Osteopathy 'Research in Practice' award in 2018.
