Richard Budd, Clinic Tutor
Following a career in the Royal Navy, Richard trained in the Pilates method and formed part of a team of Pilates teacher trainers. He graduated as an osteopath from the UCO in 2008 and subsequently qualified as a Western Medical Acupuncture practitioner.
In addition to his role at the UCO, Richard provides ‘in-house’ osteopathic clinics at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, providing treatment and advice to performers and support staff.
Richard is passionate about encouraging students of the UCO to develop and enhance their skills, so that they can build on their academic knowledge and impart their theoretical and practical techniques to the best of their ability, for the benefit of each patient.
Richard has been an active Judo player for over forty years, and continues to actively compete, coach and referee.
